Description
The Washi E film is a unique black-and-white film designed using an industrial material originally intended for printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing. With an extremely low sensitivity of 3 ISO, it delivers ultra-fine grain and high contrast, making it an exceptional choice for detailed images and specific creative effects. Its blue polyester base (180 μm) ensures durability and suitability for experimental uses.
This film has been specially optimized for use with red lasers, with a spectral sensitivity peaking at 700 nm, while remaining insensitive to green light (500 nm). As such, it requires green light for safe handling or complete darkness during processing.
Recommended Use:
Washi E film is particularly well-suited for photographers using Box Cameras, as it provides natural tones for portraits while producing transparent negatives that are perfect for enlargements. It also excels in still-life photography, where its precision and fine texture shine.
However, due to its insensitivity to green, it is less recommended for traditional landscape photography, where exposure can be challenging to assess, as green areas may appear underexposed.
Washi E film offers a truly unique photographic experience, ideal for enthusiasts of alternative processes and visual explorers seeking distinctive and experimental results.
